ECOWAS, in collaboration with Ecobank and with the support of the World Bank, is building the capacity of more than 50 solar small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) (April 28, 2025, Lagos, Nigeria).<\/strong>\n          <\/p>\n<p>ROGEAP Coordinator Elhadji SYLLA, on behalf of the Commissioner in charge of Infrastructure, Energy and Digitization, Mr. <strong>S\u00e9diko DOUKA,<\/strong> officially launched this Monday, April 28, 2025 in Lagos, Nigeria, the second capacity-building workshop for more than 50 Small and Medium Enterprises in the off-grid solar photovoltaic sector.<br \/>This three-day reinforcement session will enable learners to :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access financing solutions with national commercial banks and microfinance institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Understand ROGEAP&#8217;s subsidy mechanisms and other funding opportunities, including lines of credit,<\/li>\n<li>Master off-grid solar technology, quality assurance for off-grid solar photovoltaic systems and environmental aspects,<\/li>\n<li>Develop bankable projects through profitable business models,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Ecobank Nigeria representative reaffirmed their banking group&#8217;s readiness to support the sector and strengthen its collaboration with the ECOWAS Commission.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop follows on from the one organized by the Project on March 11, 2025, the results of which were welcomed by the participants.<\/p>\n<p>ROGEAP is a project jointly implemented by the ECOWAS Commission and BOAD.<\/p>\n<p>It is jointly financed by the World Bank, the Netherlands Directorate General for International Cooperation and the Clean Technology Fund, with a total investment of nearly 340 million dollars.<\/p>\n<p>\n            <strong>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212; END
