The African Energy Commission (AFREC), in partnership with United for Efficiency of the United Nations Environment Programme, the Regional Centres for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and Sustainable Energy for ALL, is organising a key webinar entitled  ‘Opportunities for Transforming the Energy Efficiency Market in Africa’, to be held on 30 October 2024. This event will provide a platform to discuss the continent’s path towards energy efficiency and will highlight key strategies for transforming the appliances market to support sustainable development and reduce environmental impacts.

As Africa continues to face the challenges of rising energy demand driven by population growth and urbanisation, the need for energy-efficient appliances is more pressing than ever. This webinar will focus on the potential energy, financial and environmental savings associated with the adoption of energy efficiency standards in various regions of Africa.
