Thank you for this initiative aimed at analysing the balance of interests amongst key stakeholders regarding import duties on off-grid photovoltaic products within the ECOWAS region.
As a stakeholder in the field of electricity and photovoltaic systems, I am particularly interested in the findings of this study, especially regarding the impact of customs policies on the accessibility, quality and roll-out of off-grid solar solutions in West Africa.
Harmonising regulatory and fiscal frameworks could go a long way towards accelerating rural electrification and sustainable development in our region.
I look forward to the publication of the conclusions and recommendations arising from this mission.
